A Family Resort
Keystone prides itself on being family-oriented. From the Keystone website... "Keystone is a premier destination for families looking to create memories and share some quality vacation time together. At least one person in the party is required to be 25 years of age or older.
The altitude is something to take seriously. Drink plenty of water, and watch your alcohol intake. At night, use the humidifiers that are provided in our condo units. If you are having a hard time breathing, you can buy an oxygen inhaler from the Walgreens in Dillon.
If weather conditions require, CDOT can implement Passenger Vehicle Traction and Chain Laws.
Under the traction law, motorists have to have either snow tires, tires with the mud/snow designation or a four-wheel drive vehicle. Tires must also have a minimum one-eighth inch tread.
The passenger vehicle chain law requires every vehicle on the road when the chain law is in effect to have chains or an alternative traction device. The chain law is usually the last safety measure implemented before a highway is closed.
The cleaning fee is regulated by our property management company. Every time someone rents the unit, it is cleaned and prepared by a professional cleaning staff before the guest arrives. Also, when you leave you are not expected to clean the unit yourself, with the exception of a few minor tasks such as emptying the garbage cans, locking the windows and running the dishwasher. The cleaning staff cleans the kitchen, refrigerator, bathrooms, they vacuum, they provide clean linens, etc. They only provide this service once for each guest, so we are not able to figure the cleaning cost into the nightly rate since a guest might stay just one night, or a week or more.
Early Check-in / Late Check-out
Check-in time is at 4 pm. Guests will be sent a text message from the rental office any time the condo is ready before 4 pm, so that they may check in earlier if desired.
Guests who cannot access the condo early are welcome to leave their belongings at the rental office. There is a restaurant next door to the office with TVs and an internet cafe. Or, you can hang out in River Run Village (about 1/3 mile away from the office) which has many shops and restaurants, while waiting for check-in time. There are also free shuttles that will take you around Keystone, and to neighboring towns and resorts.
The property management company has a vehicle that will take you and your luggage to your condo at (or after) check-in time.
Contact the property management company regarding a possible late check-out. They may or may not allow it, but you can leave your belongings with them until you are ready to leave the resort.

Silver Mill Lodge is located inside River Run Village, convenient to shops and restaurants, and close to the main ski lifts. Our condo overlooks a quiet courtyard with southwest views of the ski slopes.
Long Term Vacation Rentals
We don't rent our condo for more than 5-6 weeks at a time. However, we can refer you to our property management company who can offer you a long-term rental condo in Keystone.
You will receive a parking pass from our property management company upon your arrival.
Silver Mill Lodge has a large, heated, underground parking garage. Follow the signs inside the garage to the Silver Mill elevator. There is one unassigned parking space in the garage for each condo.
Additional cars may be parked in the nearby Montezuma ski parking lot. Please ask our property management company about obtaining a special parking pass.
Our property management company handles all financial transactions. They accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
FOR RESERVATIONS MADE MORE THAN 60 DAYS IN ADVANCE:
The property management company will allow you to put down a deposit of 50% when you reserve the condo, and the rest will automatically be deducted from your credit card 60 days before your stay.
OUR PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY'S CANCELLATION POLICY:
- More than 180 Days prior to Arrival Date - 90% of the total rental amount will be refunded.
- 179-60 Days prior to Arrival Date - 75% of the total rental amount will be refunded.
- 59-30 Days prior to Arrival Date - 50% of the total rental amount will be refunded.
- 29-14 Days prior to Arrival Date - 25% of the total rental amount will be refunded.
- Less than 14 days prior to Arrival Date - No Refund.
Changing Reservation Dates:
- No penalty if reservation dates changed within 72 hours of making the reservation.
- May only change dates if the same property is available.
- No date changes within 14 days of arrival
- Rates are subject to change at any time. Applicable rates will apply to all date changes
Our property management company is not responsible for cancellations due to circumstances beyond their control such as closed roads, adverse weather, sickness, injury, or acts of God. Purchasing travel insurance to protect your financial liability in case of these circumstances is highly recommended. You have the option of adding travel insurance to your reservation through our property management company after your reservation is made.

There are two full bathrooms. One is ensuite to the Master Bedroom. The other is located next to the second bedroom.
Inside Silver Mill Lodge 8241
There is one full bathroom.
There are public restrooms in the lobby and courtyard.
You might want to pick up your skis the night before you use them so that you can get on the slopes first thing in the morning. Some recommendations:
Mountain View Sports is recommended by our property manager, and they are the least expensive rental place that we know of. They are located about a half-mile from our condo. Look for our property manager's coupon once you check in. Mountain View Sports

Clean sheets and linens are provided by the property management company. There are plenty of extra pillows and blankets in the unit.
You can rent a full-size air mattress package (with mattress, pump and sheets) from our property management company for an extra charge. If you decide to do this, please let them know at the time that you pay for your reservation so that they can plan for it.
How's the Man-Made Stuff?
Not bad... Better than we expected. Keystone constantly makes snow when it's needed. Until the real stuff kicks in, it's best to ski early in the day, before the snow gets packed down and icy. If you're planning on tubing or cross-country skiing during a dry spell, you might want to call Keystone Resorts ahead of time to see if these activities are open: 970-496-4FUN

Free Shuttle Bus from Keystone to area Towns and Resorts
The Summit Stage bus takes you to other parts of Keystone as well as other towns, and the A-Basin Ski Area. The bus stop is an easy walk through River Run Village. Phone number: 970-668-0999.
